25 Days of Christmas Recipes - Salmon Cheese Ball

Day five and counting...here's another appetizer for New Year's Eve. If you can't tell, we love to just do munchies on New Year's Eve. This is a great alternative to your plain old cheese ball, and wonderful if you like salmon.

Salmon Cheese Ball

Ingredients:
1 lb. fresh salmon filets
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 Tbs. prepared horseradish
2 tsp. lemon and pepper seasoning
½ tsp. onion powder
¼ tsp. ground red pepper
Parsley flakes

Directions:
1. Place salmon in lightly greased vegetable steamer and steam 10 minutes. Cool. Flake, being careful to remove skin and bones.
2. Combine salmon with the remaining ingredients, except parsley flakes, in a food processor. Process until smooth. Remove onto flat surface and shape into a ball and lightly sprinkle with parsley flakes.
3. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until ready to serve.
