Slow Cooker Chili

This chili was WONDERFUL! I made my own alterations to the original recipe, largely because I like lots of different flavors and colors in my chili. I think it worked out perfectly though, and I really liked that it used ground turkey rather than ground beef.

Ingredients:
1 Tbs. vegetable oil
1 lb. ground turkey
1 can tomato soup
1 can diced tomatoes with green chiles
1 can corn
1 can diced green chiles
2 cans kidney beans, drained
1 can black beans, drained
1 small yellow onion, chopped
1 Tbs. chili powder
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/2 Tbs. garlic powder
1/2 Tbs. ground cumin
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 pinch ground allspice
salt to taste

Directions:
1. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Saute onion for a few minutes, then place turkey in the skillet, and cook until evenly brown.
2. Coat the inside of a slow cooker with cooking spray, and mix in turkey, tomato soup, chiles, corn, kidney beans, black beans and onion. Season with chili powder, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, cumin, black pepper, allspice and salt.
3. Cover, and cook 8 hours on Low or 4 hours on High.
